Host a Training

Host a Gestalt Equine Institute Training at Your Location

How to host a training
We are excited and committed to teaching Gestalt Equine Psychotherapy (GEP)™ to interested groups anywhere in the world. The following set of guidelines is to help you plan a GEIR training at your location.
  1. First and foremost you will need a ranch with a minimum of 4 - 6 horses, six is more ideal than four. More than six horses are great but not necessary. Most of the work is done on the ground, but sometimes a participant might benefit from getting on the horse, usually with a bareback pad, so having horses that can be ridden is helpful, but again not necessary. If there are ranch usage fees they will need to be built into the cost of the training.
  2. Most of the work is done outdoors with the horses, but it is helpful to have an indoor space, such as an indoor arena, in case of inclement weather or a barn/lean-to/shaded area for lectures or debriefing. We can work in pastures, paddocks, indoor/outdoor arenas, or round pens.
  3. Group size is limited to 12 – 20 participants.
  4. A light lunch and snacks need to be provided for participants and built into the cost of the training. You will need to find an affordable caterer to provide lunch for the group.
  5. Adequate parking and amenities will be necessary at the ranch facility.
